Now I am asking a favor of you to know the truth of one claim。
There is one American company named AMWAY (www.amway.com) set one branch in China (http://www.amway.com.cn/index.asp)。This is a direct seller。They claim that their corporate system and selling practice had been listed as a successful case in the textbook or teaching materials of your school,Harvard Business School。I was also told that it is unlikely that your school will take such case as an example。Companies like this and such selling practice had been banned by China government years ago,but it managed to reopen again。
They are now purposefully misleading their customers with such claims employing your respectable reputation。Now I want to know whehter this claim is true。If it is not,at least I will tell it to the people and they will not be cheated。And your fame will be saved。
If you are not familar with this subject, will you please transfer it to someone who may answer me?
I should tell you that this is a story that has been circulating for more than a few year…and it's pure bunk---a big lie。
"Network Marketing"or"Multi Level Marketing" is the business model made famous by Amway…but is used by many others。 The story goes that we (HBS) have studied it and have given this rather Byzantine method of distributing goods and services our blessing…and even teach a course on it。
We never have…we don't…and have no plans to do so。
I'm usually a little more blunt with people who call on this…asking them how great must this selling and distribution method be if its proponents are compelled to lie about it?
